Mishkah is built so that what you go through stays between you and Allah. We don’t ask who you are, we don’t run a server that stores your journey, and we can’t read your data.
Everything you enter in Mishkah (your first name or nickname, quiz answers, streak and slips, check-ins and moods, triggers, notes, reasons, salah you’ve marked, lessons completed, levels reached and settings) is saved on your device and protected by iOS file encryption.
If you are signed in to iCloud, Mishkah backs up that same data to the private database of your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit, so it comes back if you reinstall the app or get a new iPhone. The backup is stored in an encrypted field. It lives in your iCloud account, under Apple’s iCloud terms, and we (the developer) have no access to it. Your location, app lock and icon settings stay on the device and are not backed up.
You can turn iCloud off for Mishkah in iOS Settings at any time. Delete my data in the app (Me → Your data) erases everything from your iPhone and from your iCloud backup.
Mishkah Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never see your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID, your App Store purchase receipts and transactions, and basic technical details such as app version, device model, OS version, country/storefront and IP address. It does not receive anything you write or track in Mishkah. RevenueCat’s privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
If you use “Message a brother”, Mishkah opens Apple’s Messages with a draft for the person you chose. The message is sent by you through Messages; we never see it. Your brother’s name is saved only on your iPhone.
Mishkah is intended for adults (17+). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud, you are in full control: you can view and edit it in the app and delete all of it with Delete my data. For RevenueCat purchase records, contact us and we will help you with access or deletion requests.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, let you know in the app.
